Leann Lynne Carr Catley's Obituary
Leann Lynne “LuLu” Carr Catley, age 37, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 31, 2025, surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness.
Born on July 14, 1987, in Elyria, Ohio, Leann was the beloved daughter of Kevin and Debra (née Osborne) Carr. She graduated from Firelands High School in 2005 and went on to earn her Pharmacy Technician Certification from the Lorain County JVS Adult Center in 2007.
For 15 years, Leann was a dedicated Pharmacy Technician at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Avon, where she was known for her compassion, hard work, and kind spirit.
Leann had a zest for life and a heart full of adventure. She loved traveling, camping, and attending concerts. Whether she was fishing on Lake Erie, swimming, four-wheeling, hiking, or just enjoying the great outdoors, she embraced every moment. A passionate advocate for animals, Leann was also deeply involved in animal rescue efforts.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Rick Catley; her parents, Kevin and Debra Carr; her sister, Ashley Carr; and her cherished nephew, Deklan Carr. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ronald and Diane Carr and John and Doris Osborne; and by her uncles, Danny Osborne and Donald Ebbeson.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance on Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, Ohio. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral center.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests contributions in Leann’s memory be made to the Friendship Animal Protective League of Lorain County, 8303 Murray Ridge Road, Elyria, OH 44035.
