Linda Wojtko's Obituary
LINDA ANN WOJTKO, (Paysor) 65, LaGrange, Ohio
Linda A. Wojtko (Paysor) passed at home surrounded by family on Saturday, February 13, 2016. After a long and courageous battle with lung cancer, she was finally set free to rest peacefully.
Linda was a long-time resident of Lorain where she was born and raised. After marriage she relocated in and around Lorain county until coming to a final destination spot in LaGrange, where she loved her little patch of heaven with the animals and nature.
As one of the first women supervisors at the Lorain Ford Plant in the early 1970’s, Linda learned early on how to be a problem solver, be it at Ford, or for any other situation or person that ever called upon her. And, day or night, she was always willing to lend a hand any way she could.
Throughout her years, Linda served on many committees and volunteered countless hours of her time and energy to different service organizations across the board giving of her effort, money and passion to causes she felt were important. She served with Lorain County Voices for Children for several years. She stood strong for the FOPA and as a long line of police and military in the family, Linda was most honoured and humbled to be a proud and patriotic supporter of any and all men and women serving and fighting for their country while away from their families.
Linda loved movies, books, nature, animals, good stories, casinos, shopping, time with family and friends, a good debate and so much more. She was an avid talker, and was always great company and the best friend. She had an infectious laugh that would fill your day, but would always give you her honest opinion, no matter what.
Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Rosella Pasyor (Pawlak); father,
Joseph Paysor; and brother John Paysor.
Linda is survived by her husband of nearly 45 years, Eugene S. Wojtko, 68 of LaGrange along with her son, Christopher J. Kallas, 48 (Nadine Kallas) of LaGrange and her daughter, Rebecca Wojtko, 37, also of LaGrange. Additionally, Linda will leave behind four granddaughters, Lauren Kallas, 27 and Erin Kallas, 25; Karsyn Ochenkowski, 18 & Kenzie Smith, 8; one grandson Bradley Ochenkowski,15 and one great-granddaughter, Rylee Rapose, 6mo.
Linda’s wishes were to keep things simple. A private ceremony will be held on Friday, February 19, 2016 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center.
