Lois M. Williams' Obituary
Lois Marie Williams (nee Hatfield), passed away at Mill Manor Nursing Center, Vermilion, on Tuesday, October 3, 2023.
She was born on March 17, 1940, in Ranger, West Virginia to Jesse and Sally Virginia (nee Cook) Hatfield. She moved to Lorain in 1959, where she lived most of her life. Lois worked as a travel agent for Svete Travel. She was a strong, devoted and faithful member of the Church of the Redeemer in Lorain, where she was a member of the Redeemer Guild and part of the Redeemer Altar Guild. Lois enjoyed traveling, especially on cruises to the Caribbean. She was an avid reader, was a wonderful sewer, did beautiful cross stitching and always loved watching her Hallmark movies.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, David, children, Sally (Joey) Cook, of Amherst and Kathy (Joseph) Firment, of Amherst, grandchildren; Johnathan & Megan Cook, Jerrod & Alexandra Cook, Amanda & Brett Scarl, Ryan Firment and Jennifer Firment and her fiancé Austin Kuchta, and her great grandchildren; Isabella & Payton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings; Larry, Clarence, Jesse and Robert Hatfield.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 8, 2023, from 1 -3 pm at Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Her funeral service will be on Monday, October 9, 2023, at 11:00 am at The Church of the Redeemer, 647 Reid Avenue, Lorain, Ohio 44052. Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.
