Lorraine Bucher's Obituary
Lorraine C. Bucher (nee Smith), 71, of Lorain, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012 at New Life Hospice Residential Center, Lorain, following a lengthy illness.
Born Dec. 26, 1940 in Fairchance, Pa., she came to Lorain in the 1980's.
She was a member of New Haven Church, Lorain. Her faith in God never wavered even in her failing health.
Surviving is her husband, John; her children, Donald Newhouse of Paramus, NJ., Donna Garrity of Boswell, Pa., Diane McCormick of Mt. Pleasant, Pa., and Douglas Newhouse of Acme, Pa.; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Eddie of New York, Jimmy of Florida, Ricky of Pennsylvania, and Ike of Elyria; and a sister, Louise Lamat of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Olive (nee Townsend) Smith.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3:00 – 7:00 pm in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:00 in the funeral center. Rev. D.J. Murray, pastor of New Haven Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
