Louis J Rosso III's Obituary
Louis J. Rosso III, age 65, of South Amherst passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at the Cleveland Clinic surrounded by his family after battling a lengthy illness.
He was born on January 28, 1950 in Lorain, Ohio to Louis J. Jr. and Millie (nee Zocchi) Rosso and graduated from Admiral King High School in 1968. He went on to further his education earning his Associates Degree from Akron University.
Louis made his career in sales working for Al, Lou & Jim’s, Kohlmyer Supply Co., Royal Supply Inc., and Bostwick-Braun from which he retired from in 2014.
He was a member of the Church of St. Peter, Lorain. Louis loved dining out and was all about venturing out to try new spots. His family and friends were very significant to him and he always enjoyed meeting new friends but by far his family was his greatest joy.
Louis is survived by his wife of 20 years, Nikki (nee Guzzi); his children, Michael (Cindy) Rosso, Macy Rosso, Vanessa (Chris) Knipper, and David (Candis) Volak; his grandchildren Quinn and Kylie; brother, David Ward; sister, Linda Settlemyer; and his mother, Ann Marshall.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis J. and Millie Rosso Jr. and James Marshall.
The Rosso family will receive friends on Friday, July 10, 2015 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. at the Church of St. Peter, 3655 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. Rev. Fr. Craig Hovanec, Pastor, will officiate. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions be made in memory of Louis to the Church of St. Peter.
