Luis Vasquez Jr.'s Obituary
Our beloved father, brother and uncle went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 16, 2023. Luis was born January 15, 1962 in Brooklyn, New York. He was a compassionate human being and a devoted Cleveland fan. His legacy will live through his family whom he loved dearly, and his memory will remain in the hearts of his many friends and extended family. Luis is survived by his five children; his former wife, Lorraine A. Garcia; and their three children, Tanika (Erik) Pozik, Luis (Amber) Vasquez, Dominique Vasquez, and son, Fabian Vasquez, and daughter,Jasmine Vasquez; siblings, Maria (Marcos) Castro, Sandra Ruiz, Ada (Calvin) Vasquez Smarr; His beloved grandchildren, Angelina Nieberding, Alex M. Vasquez, Elyse Pozik, Ezekiel Pozik, Javian Vasquez, Everly Herring, and Noah Shullick. Luis was also a wonderful uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by father, Luis Vasquez in 1967, and his mother, Celia Quiroz, in 1990. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral center. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the family to help with funeral expenses.
