Manuel J. Espinoza's Obituary
Manuel J. Espinoza, 81, of Elyria, Ohio passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026. He was born on May 7, 1944 in Raymondville, Texas to the late Manuel and Eulalia (née Alvarado) Espinoza.
He dedicated more than 60 years of his life to the craft of barbering and was the proud owner of Manuel’s Barbershop in Oberlin, Ohio, where he became a familiar and trusted presence in the community. Through the years, his shop was more than a place for a haircut it was a gathering place for conversation, laughter, and friendship. Outside the barbershop, he had a passion for cars and motorcycles and could often be found attending swap meets, enjoying the discovery of unique items. His hard work, friendly spirit, and love for his hobbies will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Beloved husband of Virginia (née Ketchum) Espinoza of 27 years; loving father of Julie Calvey (Mike), Crystal Sherman, and Jake Espinoza; stepfather of Jordan Drumm (Milo); cherished grandfather of Mason, Lillie, Ashten, and Parker; and brother of Lali Bejarano, Anita Booker, and Frank Espinoza.
A celebration of life will be held on May 3rd, 2026 from 3-5 PM at Heritage Presbyterian Church, 515 N Leavitt Rd, Amherst, OH 44001. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to BSA Troop 494 at 515 N Leavitt Rd, Amherst, OH 44001.
