Margaret M. Repko's Obituary
Margaret M. Repko, age 63, of Lorain passed away suddenly at her home on Monday, April 8, 2019. She was born on November 12, 1955 in Cleveland, Ohio to Joseph and Mary (nee Utrata) Zilka.
She was a 1974 graduate of Avon High School. Margaret furthered her education at Lorain County Community College. She retired in 2017 from the Lorain Water Department after many years of service as a Distribution Technician.
Margaret enjoyed collecting antiques, home improvement projects, and watching HGTV to get ideas to enhance her home. She was huge fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes (her son’s alma mater) and loved traveling to the casinos. Margaret loved her dog Susie, crossword puzzles, and reading books from the Lorain Public Library.
She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Svoboda, of Columbus; sisters, Frances (and the late Robert) Holowecky, of Oregon, and Rita (Richard) Fitch, of Avon; brothers, Joseph G. (Elaine) Zilka, of Parma, Raymond (Constance) Zilka, of Avon, and Gregory J. (Patricia) Zilka, of Avon Lake; brother-in-law, Ronald Limpach.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph George and Mary Jane Zilka; and sisters, Joanne Marie Limpach, and Mary Ann Pelot.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 15, 2019 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
The family suggest contributions be made in memory of Margaret to the Friendship Animal Protective League, 8303 Murray Ridge Road, Elyria, OH 44035.
