Margie Pol's Obituary
Margie (Malgorzata) Pol (nee Galik), 47, of Elyria, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2016 due to complications related to leukemia diagnosed earlier this year. Her family surrounded her with love and affection as she went to be with God. She will be remembered as a loving wife, devoted daughter, loving sister and mother, a true friend and a caring physical therapist.
Born November 22, 1968 in Olesnica, Poland, she and her family moved to Lorain when she was nine years old. The family joined Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary where Margie met some of her closest and lifelong friends. She graduated from Southview High School, The University of Toledo and Cleveland State University as a Physical Therapy Major.
Margie was employed by NexStep Healthcare as a Physical Therapy Assistant with Mercy Allen Hospital in Oberlin, where her gentle, yet persuasive manner in treating patients helped her become a patient favorite. Margie loved to spend time with family and friends, reading, baking and cooking for everyone.
She is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, Brad Pol; children, Ayden and Zoey; her parents, Szymon and Katherine Galik; siblings, Violet (Matthew) Montgomery, Roman (Stephanie) Galik and David Galik, nieces and nephews; Katie Galik, Lexie Galik, Olivia Sperry, Connor Galik, Eva Galik, Lincoln Montgomery, Joshua (Dawn) Pol, Treva (Rick) Alleshouse, Clay Dustin, Kelsey Dustin and Keegan Dustin. She is also survived by her father and mother-in-law, Marilyn and Jerry Pol, and brothers and sisters-in-law Sue and Mark Pol and Lisa and Paul Dustin.

Funeral Services: Saturday, May 14, 2016, Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 418 West 15th Street, Lorain, OH 44052. 10:00AM Viewing, 11:00AM Funeral Mass followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery, 555 North Ridge Road W, Lorain, OH 44053.
