Marilyn Dietrich's Obituary
Marilyn L. Dietrich (nee Smith), age 79, of Lorain passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at New Life Hospice Residential Center after a brief illness.
She was born on February 12, 1933 in Lorain, Ohio to Louis and Mary (nee Shivak) Smith. She was a 1950 graduate of Lorain High School.
Marilyn enjoyed reading, knitting, playing cards, bingo and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Kathie (Bill) McGuire, of The Villages, Florida, Valerie (John) Muriello, of Lorain, Ohio and Dusti (Sonny) Wilburn, of Amherst, Ohio; son, William, of Hamden, Connecticut; grandchildren, Jeremy, Rachel, Chris, John, Mikey, Genna, Zak, Sarah, Sophia and Ellie; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Veronica Smith, of Elyria, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Mary Smith; and her brother, Robert Smith.
Private funeral services were held under the direction of the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center.
The family suggest donations be made in memory of Marilyn to New Life Hospice, 3500 Kolbe Road, Lorain, Ohio 44053 or to the Lorain Public Library, 351 W. Sixth Street. Lorain, Ohio 44052.
