Marilyn Rose Falk's Obituary
Marilyn Rose Falk (nee Miller) age 85, of Strongsville passed away peacefully on August 19, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Marilyn brightened up every party and was always the perfect hostess. She will be remembered most for her kind words and loving personality. We all will miss her telephone calls after a party telling you “you had the best party she ever attended!” She was always proud of her roots in Columbia Station and was a graduate of Columbia High School Class of 1948. Her father built over 100 homes in Columbia Station including a home for every one of his six children. Marilyn grew up in Columbia Station, and raised her three sons in Olmsted Falls. She also lived in North Royalton before she and Arthur retired in Strongsville. Her hobbies included golf, traveling, and playing bridge with “the ladies”. Marilyn met her husband at the Columbia ballroom and later became his legal secretary where they went to work often accompanied by their English Bulldog Winston.
Marilyn was the beloved wife of the late Arthur Falk for 56 years, dear mother to Dr. William(Nancy), David(Gail) and Michael(Mariann), loving grandmother of Matthew (Jen) Falk, Michelle(Zach)Fox, Bryan(Dr. Julie)Falk, Nicole(Marc) Tackett, Bill(Sarah)Falk, Dr. James(Allyson) Falk, Daniel Falk ,Michael(Dr. Vanessa)Falk, Mary(Garren)Schaffer and great-grandmother to Madelyn, Isabel, Nicklaus, Violet, Andrew ,Ava, Caroline, Benjamin and Adelina plus at least one on the way; Loving sister and best friend of Lois Smith, Dick Miller, Jack Miller and the late Jean Scrivens and Tom Miller; and was “Aunt Mary” to many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 28, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 25801 Royalton Rd, Columbia Station, OH 44028. Rev. Fr. Charles J. Ryba, Pastor, will officiate. Inurnment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Cleveland.
