Mark Wayne Cassidy's Obituary
Mark Wayne Cassidy, age 38 of Lorain passed away Monday, October 3, 2016 at University Hospital in Cleveland from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
He was born on April 9, 1978 and was 1995 graduate of Lorain Admiral King High School.
Mark was employed by New Image Properties in their Maintenance Department. He also worked for several years at Mama Joes Pies and while living in San Diego, California he was employed as a tow truck mechanic.
His passion was riding his motorcycle and he was a proud member of the Street Soldiers MC of Lorain. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns, The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Indians. At the age of 12 he won free throw shooting contest at half time during a Cavs game. Cookouts, grilling and fishing were among his favorite activities.
Mark’s family, friends and neighbors all agree that his most memorable trait was his willingness to always help out others.
He is survived by his sons, Corbin Danniel and Connar Wayne Cassidy; mother, Karen Cassidy; sister, Dawn Cassidy; devoted niece and nephew, Taylor and Kyle Cassidy; paternal aunt, Marilyn Chavalia; and his companion, Tracey Rose.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Cassidy.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 6, 2016 from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst where funeral services will be held on Friday, October 7th. at 11:00 a.m. Heidi Strickler, Mark’s aunt, will officiate. Interment will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions be made in memory of Mark to his sons, Corbin and Connar.
