Tía Maria (Conchi) & Tío Carlos Berríos
My dear neice Margie and family~~ Uncle Carlos and I were deeply saddened to hear of your beloved mother's sudden death. Please be assured of our love and prayers during this difficult time in your lives. 🙏
When we asked to share a brief special memory of your mom, the one that first came to my mind was the day my dear father was called to be home with Jesus. Dad died at the Cleveland Clinic. Most of the family had already headed back to Lorain after a long day at the hospital. Marta and I were in the room with dad. Your mother was standing by the window praying with her Bible and rosary and I was standing at dad's bedside, gently stroking his head and holding his hand. When I saw dad's head tilt to the side and take his last breath, I cried out to Marta to please come. She hugged me tight and said to me, "Conchi, Conchi hijita! no llores, tu papá está ahora en el cielo con Dios"! We were praying when the nurse walked in the room.
Dear family, still to this day, your mother continues to hold a very special place in my heart. She was there for me when I needed her most. Marta, gracias por tu amor y compasión. Que descanse en paz.🙏🙏✝️️✝️️
