Mary Wakelee's Obituary
Mary E. Wakelee, age 87, of Lorain passed away Saturday, December 15, 2012 at New Life Hospice Residential Center.
She was born on April 23, 1925 in Campbell County, Tennessee. She moved to Lorain five years ago from Cleveland, Ohio. She enjoyed quilting and was working on a quilt for Christmas.
Mary is survived by her son, Ronnie (Wilma) Chambers, of Lorain; daughter, Barbara (Doug) Brasington, of Belleville, Michigan; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; sister, Della Byrd, of Florida; and brother, Earnest Richardson, of Berlin Hts., Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Kelly, in 1950 and her second husband, Earl Wakelee, in 1985; son, David Chambers; daughter, Louise Chambers and 7 brothers and sisters.
The Wakelee family will receive family and friends , today, Monday, December 17th. from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 18th. at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral center. Evangelist, Robert D. Eddy, of Lorain Church of Christ, will officiate. Private entombment will take place at Brooklyn Hts., Cemetery, Cleveland.
