Mary Frances Ehrnschwender Nelson's Obituary
Mary Frances Ehrnschwender Nelson, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at the age of 68. She peacefully passed away in her Amherst home, surrounded by the love and care of her family, along with the professional medical support of Hospice of the Western Reserve.
Mary was born on August 18, 1954, to Mary (nee: Cole) and Francis Sinnott. She is survived by her devoted husband, Robert M Nelson, her children: Mara (Ed) Oliveras, Joseph (Jennefer) Reitzel, and Katherine (Keith) Dominico, her grandchildren: Stephen Daviduk, Kevin Daviduk, Madilyn Daviduk, Mackenzee Reitzel, Colin Reitzel, Erin Reitzel, Jessica Reitzel, Julia Dominico, and Emily Dominico, and her brothers: Richard (Shirley) Sinnott and Michael (Marilyn, deceased) Sinnott.
Throughout her life, Mary was a devoted homemaker, and loving mother and grandmother, whose love, guidance, and support helped shape the lives of her children and grandchildren. Her warm heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering dedication to her family defined her legacy.
The sandy shores of the beach, where she created many precious memories with her family, held a special place in Mary’s heart. Although she enjoyed various hobbies, Mary’s greatest joy resided in her role as a grandmother. Her nine grandchildren were the joys of her life. She showered them with unconditional love, and generously created lasting memories that will remain cherished in their hearts. The holidays were an especially meaningful time for all of her children and grandchildren. Mary poured her heart and soul into creating the most magical holidays that will forever be treasured, and incredibly missed.
Mary was preceded in death by her former husband, Christopher Ehrnschwender, her parents: Francis and Mary Sinnott, and her brothers: James Sinnott and Robert Sinnott. Mary’s memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance on Monday, August 21, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center located at 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Following the visitation, funeral services will commence at 12:00 noon at the funeral center. Reverend Father Timothy O'Connor, Pastor of St. Joseph Parish, Amherst, and Nativity of The BVM Parish, South Amherst, will officiate the service. Inurnment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Vermilion.
