Mary Endrai's Obituary
Mary J. Endrai (nee Naymik), age 91, formerly of Lorain, died on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Rittenhouse Senior Living, in Indianapolis, Indiana following a lengthy illness.
She was born on April 9, 1918 in Lorain, where she lived until moving 4 years ago to Indianapolis, Indiana to be near her son and daughter-in-law. She was a graduate of Lorain High School.
For over 20 years she worked in the office at Lorain Products.
Mary was a very active member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, Lorain, where she sang in the choir, taught religion and was the secretary of the church for several years.
In her free time, Mary enjoyed traveling, gardening, golfing and doing crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Dianne Endrai, of Indiana; 2 grandchildren, Lisa Endrai Brown (Darryl) of London, OH and Christopher Endrai of Houston, TX; 2 great-grandsons; and her brothers, John Naymik of Lorain and Michael (Judy) Naymik, of Amherst Township.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George, in 1968; her son, Gary J., in 2008; her parents, John T. and Susan (nee Pyhea) Naymik; a brother, Howard Naymik and 3 sisters, Helen Radman, Ann Huber, and Vera Smith.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 28th from 2-5 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Rd., Amherst, where a parastas will be conducted at 3:00 p.m.
Panachida will be held on Monday, March 1st at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral center followed by Divine Liturgy at 10:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, 2711 West 40th St., Lorain. Fr. Nicholas Rachford, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
