Mary Elaine Kouba's Obituary
Mary Elaine Kouba (nee Tufford), age 80, of Lorain passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Amherst Manor Nursing Home.
She was born on November 22, 1935 in Lorain, Ohio to Carl W. and Edith M. (nee Betz) Tufford and graduated from Lorain High School Class of 1954 A.
Mary worked for many years as a reservationist for the Mayflower Hotel in Plymouth, Michigan and the Holiday Inn in Elyria. She was a volunteer for both the Black River Historical Society and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program.
She is survived by her sons, Craig Carl Carpmail, of Cleveland and Eric Jon (Sheri) Becker, of Amherst; grandchildren, Christopher Carpmail, Stephen Carpmail, Erica Becker, Taylor Becker, and Alec Becker; great-grandchildren, Abigail Corrine Carpmail, Aceson Devin Tennison and Coleson Jon Tennison.
Mary was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Thomas Carpmail; parents, Carl and Edith Tufford; daughter-in-law, Corrine Carpmail; and siblings, Jack Tufford and Lois Kelling.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 12, 2015 from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 11110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Private family funeral services will be held.
