Mary Lukachko's Obituary
Mary Lukachko (nee Dellisanti), age 86, of Lorain, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2014.
She was born on September 29, 1927 in Lorain, Ohio to Costanzo and Genoveffa (nee Possente) Dellisanti and was a graduate of Lorain High School class of 1945 B.
Mary was a member of friends of Lorain Public Library and a lifetime member of the Catholic Church of St. Peter in Lorain, Ohio.
She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. Mary enjoyed baking (blueberry pie), cooking (homemade raviolis), reading and ceramics. She also enjoyed going out to breakfast and lunch with her sister, Angie.
Mary is survived by her sons, Christopher (Dr. Linda Lister) Lukachko, of Oxford, Ohio, Michael A. Lukachko, of New Jersey, Joseph (Dr. Sharon Kubasak) Lukachko, of North Olmsted, Ohio, and Mark Lukachko, of Chatham, New Jersey; daughter, Marianne (Mark A.) Kocak, of Amherst, Ohio; grandchildren, Ryan M. (Bridgette Myers), of Medina, Ohio, Jenevieve Kocak, of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Daniela Lukachko, of Chatham, New Jersey; great-grandchildren, Anna Rose and Jude Kocak; sister, Angeline (nee Dellisanti) Teets; sister-in-law, Rose (nee Skolnicki) Mrs. Dominick Dellisanti.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael; parents, Costanzo and Genoveffa Dellisanti; brothers, Americo, Adam and Dominick Dellisanti; and sister-in-law, Josephine (nee DeSilvester) Dellisanti.
The Lukachko family will receive friends on Friday, April 4, 2014 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Closing prayers will be held on Saturday, April 5th. at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral center followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at the Church of St. Peter, 3655 Oberlin Ave. Lorain. Rev. Fr. Craig Hovanec, Pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
