Mary Ann Maslinski's Obituary
Mary Ann Maslinski, 72, of Lorain, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on September 3, 2025. She was born on December 8, 1952 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lorain and grew up in Sheffield, OH.
She will be remembered for the joy she found in the simple pleasures. Whether she was conquering levels in Candy Crush, solving word search puzzles with ease, listening to music, or hopping on a bus trip to a nearby casino to test her luck, she always knew how to have fun. A devoted Cleveland Browns fan through every high and low, she proudly wore her orange and brown.
She had an infectious love for people, which shone through in the friendships she nurtured and the connections she made while sharing recipes and chatting on Facebook. Her favorite job was one that allowed her to meet new people daily—passing out food samples at grocery stores, where her smile and warmth made her a familiar face in the community.
An animal lover to her core, she was never without a feline companion and held a special place in her heart for her beloved cat Calli and her grandpuppy Maggie May. Her home was also filled with reminders of her deep Christian faith. She cherished her collection of religious artifacts, each one a reflection of her spiritual devotion.
Above all, she was a kind soul with a generous heart, and her presence brought light to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her beloved husband Richard A. Maslinkski and daughter Lynn Maslinski. Mary was preceded in death by her mother Joanne Ryan, twin brother Michael Ryan, and grandparents Emma and Edward Murray.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 11 AM – 12 PM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 PM at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 3655 Oberlin Ave, Lorain, OH 44053.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mary’s memory to Friendship APL, 8303 Murray Ridge Rd, Elyria, OH 44035 or to New Life Hospice, 3500 Kolbe Road, Lorain, OH 44053 or online at https://compassuslivingfoundation.org/give/.
She will be privately interred at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Elyria, Ohio. Online condolences and memories may be left on Mary’s memorial page at dovinreberjones.com
