Mary Miller's Obituary
Mary Louise Miller (nee Kramer), age 94, a resident of Main Street Care Center in Avon Lake, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2013.
She was born on November 22, 1918 in Cleveland to the late Charles and Marie Kramer. Mary Lou lived most of her life in Michigan. Following the death of her husband in 2002, she moved to Royersford, PA and resided there until coming to Ohio two years ago to be closer to family.
Many years ago, Mary Lou and her late husband, Fred, embarked on opening their business called The Dog and Cat Motel in Taylor, Michigan. Building the original kennels by hand, they devoted many years to developing their business. The boarding facility later evolved into a pet cemetery and crematory where they continued to be the owners and operators. In their time away, they enjoyed traveling the world.
Mary Lou was part of the Humanetics Fellowship.
She is survived by her brother, John (Mary) Kramer, of Avon Lake and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jeanne Kramer and her brother, Rev. Fr. Robert Kramer CSC.
The family invites friends to attend a funeral service on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 12:00 noon in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Rd., Amherst. Private entombment will take place on Monday, January 7, 2013 in Michigan Memorial Park, Flat Rock, MI.
