Mary K. Williams' Obituary
Mary K. Williams (nee Dulick), age 61, of Amherst, passed away on Monday, July 16, 2018 at Regency Hospital Cleveland West.
She was born on February 1, 1957 in Lakewood, OH, and lived a majority of her life in the Lorain County area. After high school graduation, she attended Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI from 1975 until 1979, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting. While attending Western Michigan University, she was a member of the Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority from 1976 until 1979, where she also served as the sorority treasurer for one year. In 1987 she earned her Master’s Degree from the University of Urbana, in Campaign, IL.
Mary enjoyed her career as a social worker, working for numerous places within Lorain County. She also established her private practice in Independence, OH. She was a member of the Lorain Lighthouse Methodist Church, where she enjoyed being a part of their prayer group with her friends. Mary’s family was always her greatest passion and love in life. She had great pleasure in entertaining and hosting gatherings for her family and friends. Part of her skill for enjoying entertaining was that she loved to cook and was a phenomenal one at that. She always looked forward to traveling and shopping, especially at unique shops where she had a knack for finding and purchasing one-of-a-kind items. When she had time, Mary also enjoyed knitting.
She will be dearly missed by her husband of 23 years, Charles J., her daughter, Nicole (Dino Garza) Williams, and step-son, Nathaniel Williams.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; Steve and Dorothy (nee Wood) Dulick.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July20, 2018, from 1-3 and 5-8 pm, in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018, at 10:00 am. Pastor Lisa Morrison will officiate. Inurnment will be on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 10:00 am, at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
