Michael David Echko, age 47, of Lorain, Ohio, passed away Friday, January 13, 2012, at his home in Lakewood. He was born on December 11, 1964 in Lorain, Ohio. Mr. Echko proudly served in the United States Navy stationed in San Die Read Obituary
I served with Michael onboard the USS Bagley. He was assigned to Deck Division and I was assigned to Navigation. We stood many watches together on the bridge. We also mess cranked together for awhile and he showed me the ropes on mess cranking in the ward room. He was a good man, a friend, and a funny guy. I am so sorry that I just found out about this, May 20, 2012. He will truly be missed.

I am truly saddened by Mike's passing. He was great to work with and we shared a lot of laughs together here at the VA. My sincere sympathy to the family and may your hearts be filled with fond memories of your Dad, brother and uncle. God bless you Mike and rest in peace.

I'm deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Mike. He was truly one my bestfriends here at the VA. I am writing this with a heavy heart. We shared alot of goodtimes here. I am going to miss seeing him around, coming up to see me, and sending me funny messages on facebook. My heart goes out to you and your family. Love you
