Michael Gill Fitzgerald's Obituary
Michael Gill Fitzgerald, age 74, of Amherst passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday, February 13, 2022.
He was born on March 25, 1947, in Cleveland, Ohio to John and Virginia (nee Gill) Fitzgerald. Michael was a retired United States Veteran. He was a member of the VFW Post 387.
Michael is survived by his wife of 28 years, Margaret (nee Flanagan); son, Sean Fitzgerald; sister, Eilis (Michael) Wagner; niece, Susan McKenna; and nephews, Kevin and Matthew McKenna, and Michael Wagner Jr.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia; father, John; and his sister, Mary “Gina” Smith.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 17, 2022, from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 18th at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral center followed by interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Seville, Ohio 44273 at 2:30 p.m.
