Michael N. Gajdzik, Sr.'s Obituary
Michael N. Gajdzik, Sr., passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022. He was born in Nanticoke,
Pennsylvania on September 22, 1934 to Mary and John Gajdzik.
He is survived by his children; Michelle E. Cooper, Kathryn A. Roberts, (Robert L. Roberts, Jr.),
Michael N. Gajdzik, Jr., (Stephanie A. Gajdzik), Stephanie L. Adams, (Scott Adams), his seven
grandchildren; his three great grandchildren; and his brother William J. Gajdzik.
His wife of 60 years, E. Shyrlayne Gajdzik, predeceased him.
Mike earned his Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorate degrees. Throughout his long employment
career, he worked primarily in the medical field. Mike loved his family and his various hobbies,
collections, and interests. He was a motivator and inspiration to his family, students, and people
with whom he worked and managed. He will be deeply missed.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 11:00 am until the time of his
funeral service at 1:00 pm, in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110
Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. The Rev. Fr. Craig Hovanec, Pastor of St. Peter Church,
Lorain, will officiate.
Immediately following his funeral service, a reception for family and close
friends will be held at Moosehead Grill, 7660 Leavitt Road, Amherst. To send an online
