Michelle Hauslein's Obituary
Michelle Hauslein, 50, of Fairfield, Ohio, formerly of Avon Lake, passed away following a courageous battle with ovarian cancer on Sunday, April 12, 2026. Born November 22, 1975, in Lorain to Miguel A. and Stella (née Torres) Cruz.
A 1994 graduate of Southview High School, Michelle went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Toledo. She was a dedicated Senior Associate in Wealth Management with Aspiriant. Michelle found her greatest happiness gathering with friends, sharing a glass of wine, and traveling, especially to her beloved island, Put-in-Bay.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jason Hauslein of 14 years; her mother, Stella Cruz; her sisters, Wanda Cruz and Monica Cruz-Guel (Rene Guel); her nieces, Isabela Guel and Gabriela Guel; her nephews, Ethan and Owen Fisher; and her cherished canine companion, Lexi. She was preceded in death by her father, Miguel Cruz, and her sister, Evelyn Koepke.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral and Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 9:30 AM at Sacred Heart Chapel in Lorain, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
