Mildred "Millie" McAbier's Obituary
Mildred “Millie” McAbier, age 80 of Elyria passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 2, 2016.
She was born on June 19, 1936 in Lorain, Ohio to Tom and Anna (nee Kraska) Santu and graduated from Lorain High School class of 1954 B.
Millie enjoyed crocheting prayer shawls, traveling, cooking, baking, spending time with her family and friends and meeting people.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Robert; son, James McAbier, of Elyria; and her daughter, Kristin McAbier, of Elyria.
Millie was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Anna Santu; and her sister, Fannie (Santu) Bryant
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 14, 2016 at St. John Lutheran Church, 1140 W. River Rd. N. from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. A celebration of life service will begin at 1:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor John Ramsey.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made in memory of Millie to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
Funeral services are under the direction of the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, Amherst.
