Nereida "Nelly" Berrios' Obituary
Nereida “Nelly” Berrios, age 75, of Lorain, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2016 at her home and surrounded by her family, while under the care of Crossroads Hospice.
She was born on August 1, 1941, in Aibonito, Puerto Rico and moved to Lorain in 1957. She had worked in the cafeteria at Lincoln Elementary School and at St. Joseph’s Hospital, as a dietician. She most recently worked for SBS Transit as a dispatcher and driver. Nelly was a member of House of Praise International Church. She enjoyed gardening, especially her flowers, Bowling, playing Bingo, and even enjoyed a good hand of Poker.
Nelly will be dearly missed by her children; Cossette Warington-Maglione, of Italy, Lissette (Mac) Lucero, of Evans, Colorado, Rose Warington, of Lorain, Martin Warington, of Vermilion, Lynette Barrett, of Lakewood, and Lillian Winters, of Columbia, SC, her grandchildren; Jessica Danese, Emilie Lucero, Christopher Hanczaryk, Sarah Edenfield, Tyler Winters, Victoria Mudrock, Veronica Mudrock, Dominic Harsa, Marissa Warington, Levi Barrett, great grandchildren; Serena Danese, Lucien Danese, James Gabriel Blucher, and Yadriana Hanczaryk, and sisters; Rosa Delia Berrios and Awilda Castillo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Bernardo Berrios and Aurelia Diaz, brothers Jose Antonio Berrios and William Berrios, and her sister Gladys Berrios.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 14, from 2:00 pm until the time of services at 5:00 pm, in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst.
