Noreen A. Price's Obituary
Noreen A. Price (née Ortenzi), 88, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 7, 2025. Born on April 26, 1936, to Sam and Theresa (née Provenza) Ortenzi, Noreen was a proud graduate of Lorain High School, Class of 1954A.
While raising her four children, she worked as a dedicated secretary for St. Joseph’s Hospital and the Lorain Metropolitan Housing Authority. A lifelong member of St. Peter’s Church in Lorain, Noreen was a woman of strength and resilience. She always put her family first and did everything possible to provide for them.
Noreen cherished time spent with family and friends. She found joy in reading, playing games—especially her favorite, Left, Right, Center—traveling, and cheering on her beloved Cleveland sports teams: the Browns, Cavaliers, and Indians. Noreen loved being with and watching her Grandchildren perform in various shows (acting, dancing, comedy).
Music held a special place in her heart, with Kenny Rogers’ "Lucille" and Dean Martin's "That's Amore" being her favorite songs. One of the most memorable moments was checking off a dream from her bucket list with her daughter Connie (best friend & caregiver): seeing Kenny Rogers perform live at "The Front Row" in Highland Heights, OH. The experience became even more special when, upon returning to her seat during the concert, Kenny Rogers himself playfully asked her, "Where have you been, young lady?"
Noreen’s warmth, love, unwavering dedication to her family and sense of humor will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving children, Jeff Price, Greg (Molly) Price, Connie Price, and Tim Price; granddaughters, Parry Price and Hayden Price; and siblings, Sally Pasa, Sam Ortenzi, and Angela Maltarich. She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family will receive friends at St. Peter’s Church, 3655 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, OH on Wednesday, February 19th, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of her Mass of Christian Burial at noon. Rev. Fr. Craig Hovanec, Pastor, will officiate. The funeral Mass will be live streamed on St. Peter Parish Lorain YouTube Channel. https://www.youtube.com/c/StPeterParishLorain. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain. Arrangements are under the care of Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, Amherst.
