Norma Muzquiz's Obituary
Norma Muzquiz, age 74, of Lorain passed away Saturday, April 2, 2016 at New Life Hospice Center after a lengthy illness.
She was born on April 30, 1941 in Gray, PA to the late Homer and Rhea Iser and attended Lorain High School.
Norma worked as a waitress for many years. She started waitressing at the Hoop Restaurant on Henderson Drive in Lorain and then went on to work at L & K restaurant in Amherst and McGarvey’s Restaurant in Vermilion.
She was a collector of angels and Cleveland Indians memorabilia. She was an avid fan of both Cleveland Indians Baseball and The Ohio State University Football team. Working puzzles, spending time outdoors and connecting with friends on facebook and playing games on facebook is how she enjoyed spending her time.
Norma is survived by her husband of 35 years, Joseph; her son, Ray Birchfield, of Lorain; daughter, Pamela (Ray) Ralich, of Lorain; grandson Michael James Canon, of Amherst; brother, Homer Iser, of Worthington, W.VA; and multiple nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Rhea Iser; and her sisters, Jean Speicher and Marilyn Cecil.
Private family inurnment will take place at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp. Arrangements are under the direction of the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center.
The family suggest contributions be made in memory of Norma to Mercy New Life Hospice or the Juvenile Diabetes Association.
