Patricia Fogo Cocarteu's Obituary
Patricia Susan Fogo Cocatreu, age 65, of Portsmouth, Ohio, formerly of Sheffield Lake, passed away unexpectedly on December 1, 2025. She was born on July 30, 1960 in Lorain, Ohio and attended Brookside High School.
Patricia worked for many years at FedEx and later as a Realtor in Lorain County. She was a passionate animal advocate who dedicated countless hours to the dog rescue community, always doing whatever she could to help an animal in need; she will be met by many excited paws at the Rainbow Bridge. She enjoyed the outdoors, photography, cooking, and celebrating the holidays with family and friends.
She is survived by her children Samson Fogo (Kathy), Wendy Fogo (Ivan Cecilio), and Amy Fogo (Zack Mackenzie); grandchildren Dominic, Serenity, and Vincenzo; and brother Gusty Stefanow (Nicole). She was loved by a number of nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as many friends locally and worldwide. She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane Fogo, and her mother, Thelma Smith.
A memorial gathering will be held on January 17, 2026 from 1–4 PM at Dovin & Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, OH 44001. She will be privately laid to rest in Garfield Cemetery in Sheffield Village, Ohio.
