Patrick L. Harrison Sr.'s Obituary
Patrick L. Harrison Sr. passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, August 15, 2025, at the age of 85.
He was born on May 1, 1940, in Elkins, West Virginia to Perry and Bessie (née Hall) Harrison. Patrick graduated from Clay County High School and married his high school sweetheart, Nina Hattie Ferrebee, He was a long-time resident of Lorain, Ohio.
Patrick was a loving dad and papaw, and great man of faith. He was an active member of New Hope Apostolic Church in LaGrange. He loved going to Church, time outdoors, especially fishing with his son, Patrick. He had a talent for woodworking and enjoyed sharing his knowledge and skills with the younger generation. He was always involved in doing something. He was loved by so many.
He is survived by his son, Patrick (Donna) Harrison Jr. of Oregon, OH; brother, Rick (Sue) Harrison, of West Virginia; special friends, Tony and Melissa DeAnda, of Oregon, OH; granddaughter and care giver Ms. Laura Samples, ( who we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for the loving care and compassion that she provided.) Joshua Manning, of Lorain, OH; Niece Anna Marie Lewis; In addition, he leaves” grandchildren”, Tony, Alaina, Avianna, Salathia, Princeton, Eddie Jr, Novaleigha, Nina Rose, and Eddie Sr.; and many nieces and nephews whom he loved and cherished. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Nina Hattie Harrison, in 2017; his parents, Perry and Bessie Harrison; and his siblings.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at New Hope Apostolic Church, 40180 Parsons Road, LaGrange, OH 44050. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Chad Blaylock officiating.
A second service honoring Patrick’s life will be held in his home state of West Virginia on Saturday, August 23, 2025, with interment to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Wallback, West Virginia.
