Patrick J. Judge's Obituary
Patrick J. Judge, age 78, of Lorain, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2017.
He was born on January 12, 1939 in Lorain, where he has lived his entire life. He is a 1956 graduate of Lorain High School and later, had attended Lorain Business College. He proudly served his country while enlisted in the United States Army from 1959 until being honorably discharged in 1965. Pat married the love of his life, Patricia, on May 23, 1964.
In 1965 with the help of his partner Robert Knipper, Pat started Ohio Pavement Marking, Inc. as the years went by they had several successful companies together. Once his partner retired in 1989 Pat put his full attention into Judco Inc. He enjoyed traveling the Ohio countryside making sales calls to longtime customers along the way. Many of these customers he still visited after his retirement in 2015
Pat was a Life member of the Lorain Elks Club #1301, and enjoyed bowling in the men’s Thursday night league at Rebmans Recreation for many years. His true passion was being a Landlord, having many residential rental units in Lorain. He was a member and supporter of Lake Erie Landlords Association. Over the years, Pat sponsored many Little League and “F” League baseball teams for the Lorain Youth Baseball Organizations. He was true believer in the City of Lorain his hometown
In his later years he enjoyed traveling to Antique Truck Shows throughout the country
Patrick will be dearly missed by his wife of 53 years, Patricia G. (nee Coleman) Judge, his 3 children; Sherry (Greg) Rumph, Patrick “Rick”, Jr. (Tina) Judge, and Robert A. Judge, and his 3 adoring grandchildren; Stephanie (Chad) Daniels, Carollynn Judge, and Makenzie Falbo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; John B. and Anna F. (nee Malspina) Judge, and his sister, Joan Fifelski.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 14, from 3 to 7 pm, in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, where his funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 am. Rev. Danny Parsons will officiate. Burial will follow the service, at Brownhelm Cemetery, Vermilion, where Military honors will be provided by the Amherst Honor Guard.
