Paul Schubert's Obituary
Paul G. Schubert, age 60, of Elyria passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Wesleyan Village, in Elyria.
Paul was born on September 10, 1957 in Cleveland, Ohio to Paul and Glenevier Schubert. He attended Elyria High School and graduated from West Tech High School in Cleveland in 1976. He went on to further his education at Lorain County Community College for 2 years.
From 1982-1991 Paul was employed by Ohio Weatherization Training Institute. He then went on to work for Ground Level Solutions in Quality Assurance, for residential energy conservation. He retired in 2017 after 26 years of service.
Paul loved playing, recording, and listening to music. He enjoyed jazz fusion and progressive rock. He had an appreciation for art especially, the work of the artist Salvador Dali. Science fiction, reading magazines and technical manuals and training pets were also some of his hobbies and interests. He adored his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Teresa (nee Wosicki) Schubert, who adored and cherished him; mother, Glenevier Dubulis-Reeder; siblings, Malane (Michael) Rourke, Edward (Joan) Schubert, Denise (Robert) Schubert, Dawn Christian, and Melody Christian, all of Elyria; mother-in-law, Eleanor Wosicki; sisters-in-law. Winona Botsford, of New London, Kathleen Wosicki, of Ft. Meyers, FL, Linda (Thomas) Anderson, of Wellington, and Bonita (Wayne) Cooper, of San Antonio, TX; 12 nieces; 9 nephews; great-nieces and nephews; aunts, uncles and cousins; his beloved pets, Hammond, and Mackie; his special friends, Robert Inners, and Sandy Kalmbach.
He was preceded in death by his father; Paul W. Schubert; father-in-law, Thomas Wosicki; and his pets, Berkeley, Julliard, and Neumann.
The family will have a Celebration of Paul’s Life on Saturday, November 18, 2017 from 12:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Germans Villa, 3330 Liberty Ave., Vermilion, OH
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made in memory of Paul to the Elyria Salvation Army (Toys for Tots), Oasis Animal Shelter in Oberlin, OH or the Adore-A-Bull Rescue, 6270 Morris Road, Hamilton, OH
