Paul P. Vargo's Obituary
Paul P. Vargo III, age 75, passed away at Ames Family Hospice on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. Paul was born on March 23, 1947 in Elyria Ohio, where he graduated from Elyria High School in 1965. He proudly served his country as a Vietnam veteran in the United States Army.
Paul had a long and varied career, working at Lake Terminal Railroad and P & C Dock Company while starting his own charter boat business. He also worked at Harley Davidson in Elyria and Avon, where he no doubt enjoyed his love of riding motorcycles.
In his leisure time, Paul was an avid golfer, hunter, and fisherman. He was also a member of the NRA and a lover of cats.
Paul will be deeply missed by his family and friends, who will always remember his love of the outdoors and his kind and gentle nature.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Jeannie (nee Krajnock) Vargo; brother, Joe (Cathy) Vargo; niece, Eva Vargo; and sister-in-law, Joy Hughes.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Catherine (nee Frank) Vargo II.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral center followed by entombment at Resthaven Memory Gardens, in Avon.
