Pete Havris' Obituary
Pete Havris, 67, of Amherst, passed away suddenly Tuesday, June 12, 2018. He was born October 9, 1950 in Cleveland.
Pete graduated from John Adams High School and the College of Wooster. He retired from Ford Motor Company as a Supervisor.
Pete will dearly be missed to all that were lucky enough to have known him. His tall stature, bald head and big smile lit up the room. His biggest love was golf. If he wasn't playing, he was "in therapy" hitting buckets of balls. He enjoyed skiing, gambling "I'm at the Pae Gow table," good food with ambiance, shopping, watching sports, Fast Money, Mad Money and Fox News. His biggest vice was Pepsi. He especially enjoyed meeting "the usual suspects" at Ziggy's on Friday's.
He leaves behind his companion, Lori Crnobrnja and beloved cousins; especially Andrea Kormos who was like a sister to Pete.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary (Kormos) Havris.
Please join us for a celebration of life Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 5 to 10 P.M. at Ziggy's Pub and Restaurant, 193 Park Avenue, Amherst. Please wear your golf attire. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 15120, Chicago, Illinois 60693.
Online condolences may be left for the family at www.dovinreberjones.com
