Peter Bronson's Obituary
Peter Bronson, age 82, of Lorain, passed away at Ames Family Hospice House, Westlake, on Thursday, August 4th, 2022.
He was born on September 24, 1939 in Madison, Wisconsin, where he lived most of his life until moving to Lorain 18 years ago. Peter’s career for 25 years was a teacher for both, grade school and high school levels. His true passion though was the extremely successful business he and his wife, Marilynn, owned and operated where they proudly sold Green Bay Packers merchandise.
Peter was a devoted member of Heritage Presbyterian Church in Amherst, where he dedicated his time to being a member of their choir. He was also a member of the Amherst Community Chorus. He was an exceedingly avid golfer, loved playing the guitar, and enjoyed working on Sudoku puzzles.
Peter is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Marilynn L. (nee Schiedermayer); his son, Curt (Rea) Bronson, of Gillette, WY; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Lynda Pedersen, of Hamden, CT, Barbara Strauss, of Winston Salem, NC, and Susan (Mike) Decker, of Hot Springs, SD; nephews, Robert (Kelly) Pedersen, of Avon, OH, and Jon (Krissy) Pedersen, of East Haven, CT; niece, Krista (Matt) Pedersen, of Simsbury, CT; great niece, Angela Pedersen; and great nephew, Ben Pedersen.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amanda Bronson and his parents, Arthur & Lucille (nee Wilber) Bronson.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 from 10:00 am until the time of his memorial service at11:00 am at Heritage Presbyterian Church, 515 N Leavitt Road, Amherst, OH 44001. The Rev. Jenni Walker Noyes, Pastor, will be officiating. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst.
