Peter A. Cline's Obituary
Peter Allen Cline, 73, of Lorain, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026, following a lingering illness.
He was born on December 26, 1952, in Oak Hill, West Virginia and was lovingly raised by Ernest and Faye (née William) Cline. He graduated from Ashland High School in 1971 and continued his education at Lorain County Community College. Peter spent many years working for Bosch before later retiring from CVG in Norwalk, Ohio.
Peter had a lifelong love of music and found great joy in playing the guitar. A man of deep faith, he attended Lorain Lighthouse Methodist Church. He was also actively involved in Alcoholics Anonymous and was proud to have celebrated more than 23 years of recovery, a journey that reflected his resilience and commitment to helping others. He often spoke fondly of his grandmother, Eliza William of Crumperneck, West Virginia, whose influence shaped his strong love of God and guided him throughout his life.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Jacalyn (née Carver); his children, Ernest Cline and Eric Cline, both of Austin, Texas, Christopher Cline of Willard, Ohio, and Shawn Parrish of Sandusky, Ohio; his cherished grandson, Talon Cline, along with several other grandchildren; and his sisters, Sue Hoover of Ashland, Ohio, and Robin Kirkpatrick of Shelby, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lorain Lighthouse Methodist Church.
Private interment will take place at Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst, Ohio, at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Dovin & Reber Jones Funeral and Cremation Center.
