Prince Anderson's Obituary
Mr. Prince Anderson was born on July 1, 1932 in Bay Minette, Alabama. He departed this life on the 17th day of December 2015 at Hospice of the Western Reserve in Westlake, Ohio.
Prince served his country in the United States Army. He worked as crane operator for 44 years for US Steel Corporation.
He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed gardening and playing cards.
He was the 5th oldest of 13 children. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Gloria Jones; his parents, Robert and Bessy Lee Anderson; 2 sisters: Margarett and Annie Marie Anderson, and 6 brothers: Robert Jr, James L, Wille Eugene, Ollie, Wesley, Samuel, and Rosevelt (Rabbit) Anderson.
Prince knew Christ all his life. He leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted and loving wife Mary E. Anderson, 1 son Jerome (Carolyn) Anderson of Oberlin Ohio, and 4 daughters; Burniece Blanton of Cleveland Ohio, Juanita Robinson of Mansfield Ohio, Debra (Ricky) Fryson of Elyria Ohio and Princess (Willie) Walker of Lorain Ohio; 25 grandchildren; and 30+ great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mattie Louis Burnette, of Bay Minette, Alabama and Bessie Mae Taylor, of Lorain, OH; 2 brothers, John E. Anderson, of Bay Minette, Alabama and Reverend Aaron (Helen) Anderson, of Red Level, Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The Anderson family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral center. Military Honors will be conducted by the Disabled American Veterans Louis Paul Proy Chapter 20.
