Randall S. Rua's Obituary
Randy S. Rua, age 55, of Amherst, passed away at his home, while under the care of Cleveland Clinic Hospice, on Monday, June 28, 2021. He was surrounded by his loving family.
Randy was born on May 28, 1966 in Oberlin, Ohio. He was raised and grew up in South Amherst until moving to Amherst in 1998. He is a 1984 graduate of South Amherst High School. After graduation, he joined the United States Air Force, serving his country from 1985 until his honorable discharge in 1989. After completing his term in the military, Randy began his 23-year career at Ford Motor Company, in Avon Lake, with the material handling assembly.
He cherished the time he was able to spend with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed golfing, cheering on the Cleveland sports teams, and being with his dogs.
Randy is survived by his wife of 31 years, Stephanie A. (nee Rak), his sons, Ryan (Courtney) Rua, of Amherst and Raymond Rua, of Amherst, his 2 grandchildren, Rowan & Avery Rua, and his mother, Patricia R. (nee Allsop) Rua.
He was preceded in death by his father, Marcelino C. Rua (May 25th, 2006), Grandparents Lee & Annette Allsop, and Marcelino & Virginia Rua.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 1, 2021, from 3 – 7 pm, in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst.
