Raymond F. Incociati, a dedicated veteran, loving father, and businessman, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at the age of 91. Raymond's life was characterized by a profound commitment to his country, family, and community, leaving behind a legacy of honor and service.
Born on June 8, 1932, in Old Forge, Pennsylvania, Raymond was the beloved son of Joseph and Christine Incociati (nee Andreoni). He received his education at Old Forge High School before embarking on a remarkable military career. Raymond enlisted with the United States Marine Corps and dedicated 22 years of his life in service to his nation. Rising to the rank of Captain during the Korean War, he dutifully served his country in various locations, including California, Hawaii, and Japan. Raymond's unwavering patriotism and exceptional leadership skills earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues.
After retiring from the Marines in 1973, Raymond pursued further education and ventured into self-employment, becoming the proud owner and operator of a tax and accounting business. His professional expertise and dedication to his clients helped him build a successful career.
Beyond his military and professional achievements, Raymond found joy and companionship in various aspects of his life. He was a valued member of the AMVETS and the American Legion, actively participating in the Vermilion community. In his leisure time, Raymond enjoyed engaging in activities such as playing golf, bowling, and poker, which brought him closer to his friends and family.
Raymond will be deeply missed by those who were fortunate enough to have known and loved him. He is survived by his loving son, Michael, residing in Long Beach, California, and his daughter, Angela (Doug) Folley, residing in Vermilion; and numerous nieces and nephews. Raymond was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Beverly, as well as his parents, Joseph and Christine, his brothers, Joseph Jr. Guido “Guy”, and his sisters, Rose Marie, Marie Gilotti.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 15, 2023, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, located at 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Closing prayers will be offered on Friday, June 16th at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral center, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 200 St. Joseph Drive, Amherst. Interment will take place at Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Twp.
