Dick, I will always remember us bumping into each other followed by our long chats while we shopped at Penton's. Hope to see you again sometime so we can pickup where we left off. Don't bother with a shopping list. Dave & Patricia Billick.

Traci, Mandi and Mindi,
I was saddened to hear about your dad's passing. Please know I am holding you in my thoughts and in my heart.

I was truly saddened to hear about Dicks passing. He was one of the nicest guys I have ever met. He always greeted me with a hug and his great smile as if I was his best friend. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by his many many friends. My deepest condolences to Bre and daughters. We lost a great man and he won’t be forgotten.

Dick and I shared many many conversations regarding our gym classes and coaching. He was intelligently quiet but could “ shoot the bull “ with us coaches like a pro that he was. I was extremely happy with his desire to move up in the ranks because I walked into his shoes as the elementary gym teacher. Early on I actually took over his seventh period class in middle school so he would have the opportunity to get to the high school for his dedicated coaching duties. Great teacher, coach, friend and positive to everyone he knew. May God bless him and his family and all who knew him. Rest in peace my friend.
It's probably been 30+ years since I've seen Coach Szalay, but I remember every memory like it was yesterday. Just an all-around wonderful coach, teacher and person to me during my childhood years. He had a tremendous impact on me. I'll never forget my high school baseball years playing for him (1985-1988). I hope he is at peace knowing that he left behind such an amazing legacy and family. I wish all the best to his family during this difficult time.
Szal: You were more than a fellow coach and colleague. Our bulldog family was better because you were such an impactful influence on our athletes and on our coaches. Personally I am honored to have coached, taught and more importantly laughed with you. You will be missed. Finally Tommye and I are send our condolences to the entire family. Peace
