Richard J. Gorski's Obituary
Richard J. Gorski, age 83, of Amherst passed away at home, Sunday, April 23, 2017 surrounded by loved ones. He worked as a union bricklayer, local 34. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 1662 in Amherst and a member of PVA Cleveland, Ohio; Buckeye Chapter.
He served in the US Army Battalion 899 as a Track Vehicle Mechanic, stationed in Germany during the Korean Was from 1954-1956.
He is survived by his wife Donna (nee Profant) of 60 years; children, DeAnn (Sam) Beatty, of Amherst, Gerald (Liz), of Lakewood, and Megan (John) Worcester,of Lexington; grandchildren, Ava, Grayson, and Sophie; sister, Sandi (John) Rich, of Avon Lake; brother John (Carole), of Columbus; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Josephine Gorski; sister, Jeanette (Ed) Wnek, and Dorothy (Bernie) Jaloweic.
Private visitation and Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by Rev. Father, Donald Duson, Pastor, held on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, in Elyria.
