Richard F. Guba's Obituary
Richard F. Guba, age 73, of Lorain passed away Monday, December 21, 2015.
He was born on September 6, 1942 in Lorain, Ohio to Frank and Mary (nee Geres) Guba and attended Lorain High School.
Richard worked as a groundskeeper at Emerald Valley Golf Course, retiring in 2008 after 22 years of service. He loved to go deer hunting, fishing and he especially loved to cook. Pierogies, pagach and his famous tacos were just a few of his specialties.
He is survived by daughter, Michelle Guba, of Lakewood; grandchildren, Amanda, Alissa, Drew, and Christian; great-grandson, Luke; and his fiancée and partner for over 20 years, Della Bombac.
Richard was preceded in death by his daughter, Jackie Neumann; wife, Carol; parents, Frank and Mary Guba; and his sisters, Phyllis Reber and Gloria Middleton.
The family will receive friends for a memorial gathering on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
