Richard "Dick" Wohlever's Obituary
Richard “Dick” Wohlever, age 68, of Lorain, passed away at Kingston of Vermilion, Vermilion, on Thursday, December 16, 2021.
Dick was born on October 23, 1953 in Amherst, Ohio and was a 1972 graduate of Marion L. Steele High School. In 1972 he moved to Lorain, where he has lived ever since. Dick was employed at BF Goodrich as a chemical operator, where he worked for over 40 years, before retiring.
Richard absolutely loved music, even earning the name of “Music Man.” He was also proud to be known as the “Grill Master.” One of his most treasured times during his life is when he coached his daughters’ volleyball and softball teams.
Dick is survived by his daughter, Trisha Wohlever, of Columbus, brother, Thom Wohlever, of Amherst, sisters, Diane (Pat) Hamilton, of Amherst, Ann (Mike) Walters, of Amherst, and Lisa (Chuck) O’Connor, of Collins, OH, his best friend, Mike Thomas, of Lorain, and all of his nieces & nephews who loved and adored him very much.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Erin Wohlever, parents, William and Elizabeth (nee Muska) Wohlever, a sister, Barbara Fuller, and his long-time companion and partner for 15 years, Michele Wagner.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 26th, from 1 to 4 pm in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Friends will also be received on Monday, the 27th, from 10:00 am until the time of his funeral Mass at 10:30 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 200 St. Joseph Drive, Amherst. The Rev. Fr.
