Rita Ann Belch's Obituary
Rita Ann Belch, age 75, of Lorain, passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Mercy Regional Medical Center, Lorain.
She was born on June 18, 1948 in Lorain where she lived her entire life and is a 1966 graduate of Admiral King High School. After high school, Rita began her career as a Customer Support Specialist, where she proudly dedicated all her working years at the Elyria Savings & Trust first and then for the I.R.S.
Rita was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church and loved her family tremendously. Rita adored her nieces and cherished being able to watch them grow up to be amazing women. Not having children of her own, she made sure they always knew that she would love and support them as if they were her own daughters. She also enjoyed reading, cooking, and her cat Chelsea.
She is survived by her sister, Bernadette (Jeff) Harned, of Amherst, her brother, Frederick, of Lorain, nieces, Marissa (Garrett) Moore and Erica Dorrance, great niece, Mia Kelly and great nephew, Tyce Kelly. She is also survived by her cousins and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Marcella Rose (nee Dominguez) Belch.
