Robert "Bobby" Antoskiewicz's Obituary
Robert "Bobby" Antoskiewicz, a devoted family man and proud patriot, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky, Ohio. Born on July 15, 1943, in Cleveland, Ohio, he spent the majority of his life in his beloved hometown.
Bobby graduated from South High School in 1962, after which he embarked on a journey of service to his country with great pride. He joined the United States Army, where he distinguished himself as a special forces paratrooper and Green Beret. From 1965 to his honorable discharge in 1967, he served his nation with valor and dedication.
Following his military service, Bobby found fulfillment in his work at Cleveland Gear, where he served as a final inspector for many years until his retirement in 2010. His commitment to excellence and precision was evident in all aspects of his life, both professional and personal.
A devout member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in North Ridgeville, Ohio, Bobby found solace and community in his faith. He cherished the time spent with his family above all else, finding immense joy in the company of his children and grandchildren. Bobby and his wife shared a passion for travel, exploring new destinations together and creating cherished memories along the way.
Bobby will be remembered fondly for his unwavering love, his quiet strength, and his selfless dedication to those he held dear. He leaves behind a legacy of service, integrity, and love that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
May he rest in eternal peace, knowing that he made a profound impact on the lives of those around him.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Carol A. (nee Miller); daughters, Regina “Gina” (Ron) Geither, of North Ridgeville & Renee (Chris) Dugan, of North Ridgeville; his 5 grandchildren, Alec, Joey, Sean, Emily and Johnny; and a sister, Joanie. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Pauline Antoskiewicz and his many siblings.
The family will receive friends for his Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 11:30 am at St. Peter Catholic Church, 35777 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, OH 44039. Rev. Fr. Isidore Munishi will officiate. Inurnment, with full military honors, will immediately follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
