Robert Chesnick's Obituary
Robert Chesnick, age 83, of Elyria, formerly of Lorain, passed away Wednesday December 9, 2009 at Community Health Partners. He was born on August 29, 1926 in Lorain, Ohio to John and Margaret Chesnick and was raised in South Lorain.
Robert drove for Lorain Highway Coach, worked as a courier for the former Central National Bank of Cleveland and was a custodian for the Lorain County Administration Building and Eaton Fabricating of Grafton.
He was a member of Knights of St. John. He enjoyed hockey. He loved all trains, especially electric trains. He had quite the collection of busses.
Robert is survived by his wife of 51 years, Nadine (nee Higgins); sons, Bob (Kathy) Chesnick of Lorain and Jon (Candace) Chesnick, of Lorain; daughters, Suzanne (Rick) Rogers, of Wakeman and Judith Chesnick, of Elyria; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Anne Bonko.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Margaret Chesnick.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday December 16, 2009 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Rd., Amherst, Oh. 44001. Private family services and burial will take place.
