Robert W. Honaker's Obituary
Robert W. Honaker, age 74, of Homerville, OH passed away after a sudden illness on Wednesday, November 11, 2020.
He was born on September 15, 1946 in McDowell, W. VA. After he proudly served his country in the United States Navy, Robert moved to Lorain and began working for the Ford Motor Co., Avon Lake plant. He retired from Ford Motor Company in 2008, after 40 years of service and eventually moved to Homerville in 2000. Robert enjoyed golfing.
He is survived by his son, Robert Honaker, of Tampa, FL; daughter, Cindy (Greg) Honaker-Waite, of Aurora, CO; grandchildren; Tristan, Samantha, Abigail, Justin, Joshua, Caan, and Bailey; siblings, Janet Honaker, Debra Lambert, Denise Boots, and David “Mickey” Honaker; and his significant other, Jolene Morano Rogowski, of Homerville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Walter H. and Irene L. (nee Fortner) Honaker; and his siblings, Novella Wirt, Edna Hazelwood, Linda McGuigan, Harold “Sonny” Honaker, and Gordan “Mack” Honaker.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, Ohio. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral center. Inurnment will follow at Crownhill Cemetery in Amherst.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the funeral home will be following specific guidelines to ensure the safety of all visitors. We ask that you enter through our main entrance of the funeral center, please pay your respects to the family, and exit through our gathering center door. Face coverings are required, limited seating will be provided for the service to ensure that a six feet separation is maintained.
