Robert S Kish's Obituary
Robert S. Kish, age 85, of Lorain passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at University Hospital in Cleveland after a lengthy illness.
He was born on October 5, 1928 to Steven and Katherine (nee Tomasic) Kish in Lorain, Ohio and was a 1946 Class B graduate of Lorain High School.
Robert made his career as a Production Clerk for US Steel in Lorain, retiring in 1987. He was a member of the Church of Peter. He was a passionate Ohio State Buckeye fan and enjoyed going to the games and tailgating along with his wife and friends. Robert liked traveling and fishing and loved to be in his back yard feeding the deer, squirrels and birds. His biggest joy was watching his grandson’s play high school football.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Laura (nee Stockard); sons, Timothy R. (Cathy) Kish, of Texas and Terry J. Kish, of Lorain; daughter, Karen M. Kish, of Rocky River; grandchildren, Lauren (Charles) Ellis, Cameron Kish, Ryan Kish, Brandon Kish and Halle Kish; great-grandson, Cole Ellis.
The Kish family will receive friends on Thursday, January 2, 2014 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Rd., Amherst where closing prayers will be held on Friday, Jan. 3rd. at 10:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of St. Peter, 3655 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. Rev. Fr. Craig Hovanec, Pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made in memory of Robert to the Church of St. Peter.
