Robert Kraly's Obituary
Robert A. Kraly, age 60, of Crestline, Ohio passed away Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Hospice of North Central Ohio in Ashland after a brief and sudden illness.
Robert was born on October 10, 1950 in Lorain, Ohio to John and Jeanette (nee Bicyzowski) Kraly. He lived most of his life in Lorain and Elyria moving to Crestline in 1990.
Mr. Kraly enlisted with the United States Navy and served as a Fireman Recruit . He was Honorably Discharged on September 3, 1970.
He worked as a Tow Motor Operator for General Motors in Elyria until its closing and transferred to the Mansfield, Ohio Plant where he worked as a Truck Mechanic.
Robert was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Crestline, UAW # 549 Veterans Committee and the Amvets in Ontario. He served as assistant treasurer for the Salvation Army in Crestline.
He enjoyed fishing and wood working and loved to spend time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Joyce (nee Cain) Kraly, of Crestline; sons, Paul Kraly, of Cleveland Hts., Robert A. Kraly Jr,, of Mansfield and Adam Socha, of Cottontown, TN; daughter, Dona (Dustin) Prost, of Watertown, TN; grandchildren, Tiffany, Desiree, Meagan and Rachael Socha, Joey Donaugh, Mark Prost and Danielle Stevens; mother, Jeanette Wentz, of Lorain; brothers, Tim (Millie) Neal, of Lorain, Kenny (Denise) Kraly, of Elyria and Jamie (Linda) Kraly, of Avon.
He was preceded in death by his father John Kraly.
The Kraly family will receive family and friends on Friday, March 11, 2011 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Rd., Amherst. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral center.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 14, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church 410 N. Thoman Street, Crestline, OH 44827. Pastor Diana Seaman will officiate. Private Burial will take place at a later date.
